The District Court of the Virgin Islands has implemented the Federal Judiciary's Case Management and Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system for Civil Cases. Civil CM/ECF is live as of June 18, 2007 and Criminal CM/ECF is live as of December 14, 2007. Criminal and Civil cases should be viewed at the courts CM/ECF website at https://ecf.vid.uscourts.gov . To view case information on the the new District Court Civil CM/ECF website, you must be registered with the PACER Service Center. To file on-line you must be registered with the District Court of the Virgin Islands (see registration form.) To see available training materials please go to the ECF Training Area. DC CM/ECF 10 Most Common Docketing Errors See PDF DC CM/ECF and Sealed Items. In CM/ECF, courts can seal a criminal defendant, a docket entry, or a document. Sealed items can be viewed only by certain users. The attachment, CM/ECF Sealed Functionality in Criminal Cases is designed to help Filing Users understand the operation of sealed documents and sealed cases in our ECF system.
